Bearing Hope 2U began as a kid with cancer helping other kids with cancer.

Alea’s passion  to help others was admirable, and  innate.  Her ability to connect and motivate others to join with her to make a change was a special talent.   Her willingness to be vulnerable and share her story of Childhood Cancer as a Adolescent/Young Adult  (AYA) , allowed others to experience the trauma of diagnosis, treatment, remission, rehabilitation, and the devastation of relapse.   As Alea continued battling osteosarcoma for almost six years, her perseverance , resilience and humble compassion for others  brought a community together for a cause bigger than themselves.  Bearing Hope 2U continues to grow as the life and legacy of Alea  joins people together because it is : WWAD- WHAT WOULD ALEA DO?

Our organization is committed to directly  supporting those diagnosed with Childhood Cancer at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.  In the future, Bearing Hope 2U would love to spread even more kindness and support to other hospitals.

BH2U focuses primarily on providing Hope Bags to those inpatient for treatments on the 12th floor of Children’s Hospital.

BH2U SUPPORTS other initiatives focusing on  RESEARCH AND IMPROVED TREATMENT OPTIONS like the  Alex’s Lemonade  Stand Foundation.   In 2024, the 7th Annual Krishnasetty Alex’s Lemonaide Stand in  Upper Arlington Ohio continued to commit to finding a cure in memory of two local 18 year olds and classmates who passed away from rare diseases-Alea-osteosarcoma and Sam-ependymoma.  To date, over $90,219.00 has been raised through this neighborhood ‘s annual Alex’s Lemonaide Stand. Each dollar donated helps to   move one step closer to finding a cure for all children diagnosed with cancer.
